Here's tonight's fresh pour, a Reveries 9 Year, "Still Wakes." Awesome bourbon, drinks smooth, gives notes of cinnamon toast, orange marmalade, cherry cola, honey, and black tea. Super long finish. 5 drops of Kentucky limestone water open it up beautifully. #whiskey #bourbon

Cracked this one open a couple days ago, tastes of caramel apple, bread pudding, cardamom, vanilla ice cream, and sage. I have its brother, Synthesis II, downstairs as well. Will be excited to compare the two when I open it. #whiskey

0.5oz Rich demarara syrup
1 dash Angostura
Shake hard with ice and fine-strain over fresh ice, float Cabernet Sauvignon on top, express lemon peel and garnish.

LRT: Looking at city police budgets nationwide and how any given policeman's union operates I think the real terror underlying a lot of Democratic squeamishness is they don't want to admit or acknowledge that we haven't had meaningful control of the people with the guns for a long time.

Sazarac tonight, this time with a split base of rye and calvados. I feel like the apple flavor really complements the spice of the rye. Went heavier on the absinthe spritz than usual and I'm not mad about it.
