“The evidence from around the world is clear: where a parallel private health system operates, both health outcomes and access to care are worse. Canadians were also clear in their resounding support where every Canadian has access to a publicly funded health care system.”
Doctors across Canada are deeply concerned that the #Alberta government’s proposed private care plan will leave more Albertans waiting even longer to access health care. The CMA is calling on the government to reconsider this proposal, and focus on known solutions to support public health care.

This is really well done! Way to go @healthcareforreal.bsky.social!
What’s the Canadian take on #Tylenol and #pregnancy? Don’t stress. Heath Canada’s approval process for meds keeps us safe. There’s no credible evidence linking prenatal #acetaminophen use to #autism.

Still feeling uneasy? Best to talk to your #doctor or head to a walk-in clinic.

Rural health systems matter. And there is a lot we need to do to improve them including creating a national rural health workforce strategy to help enable rural health workforce stability and ER predictability.
