The New York Times quickly sending out Douthat to argue that Mamdani’s victory doesn’t really matter is so predictable it borders on self-parody.

Unpopular opinion: I never really thought Allen meshed with the band. It was a big reason I stopped seeing tDB from 2009-2018. Ironically, I’ve only really come around on him since the new songs of the last 3-4 years. But I still always was a Sammy guy primarily. I’m excited for whatever’s next.
