Help!! T-10 days until I submit clean files! Q. on citing AHU sources 1st: Chicago requires day month year but a scan of notes in books mo, day, yr. 2nd: archive shld be at end, but I see "AHU" at the beg., mid., AND end in notes . These are recent pub. of known historians. Just be consistent? TIA!

Yesterday I shared my grandfather’s Angel Island Immigration story and his almost 100 year old note book.

Today the students get to find out what’s in the case! (Hint it’s from my grandmother💚)

Thursday we head to Angel Island for our virtual field trip.

Something I'm realizing is that a lot of the time in the old place, we'd have teachers following academics, but those academics would not follow many teachers. I'm looking to break that cycle here. We are better when we work together. Neither one should be considered over the other.

Fun fact: The #AHAPerspectives issue on history and fiction (and historical fiction) was one of the most successful we’ve done in the last five years, based on reader responses both emailed and snail mailed!
