Might be time to refocus Ontario manufacturing jobs away from mass production by large companies that require government subsidies. One business decision is too impactful. Propping up that sinking ship is costing Western farmers and the Canadian economy as a whole all in the name of votes.

Important to remember that everyone involved in renaming the DoD to the Department of War is afraid to take the subway.

Hochul: "I will put saving democracy as my top priority at any cost. Bc it's under siege. Just like those who put on uniforms to fight battles across the ages. For centuries we stood up & fought. Blood has been shed. This is our moment in to stand up for all we hold dear & not let it be destroyed."

I find it interesting how I tend to mark dates as being pre or post COVID.

The latest after watching a doc on PBS about restoring Big Ben in London and the project dates progress from 2018, then 2019 and then 2020 ... Oh oh!

Those years during the height of the pandemic were quite extraordinary.

The cloud of dust I just saw pass overhead was, in fact, a cloud of pollen dislodged by a gusty breeze from the copious number of evergreens in the neighbourhood. Impressive!

I'm no miniatures game player, but have been watching painting vids of late. Which led to my discovering some interesting discussions on the game mechanics found in some of them. This one describes some intriguing ideas:

Today's work.

Mesh/hoop contraption in place to protect the pea and sunflower seedlings from ravenous sparrows and nosey pups. Now to rearrange the tomato plants I placed too close together.

I have no idea what I am doing ....

I am increasingly convinced of the positive impact gardening has on my wellbeing. Even my modest efforts put me in a good frame of mind.

Being outdoors. Light physical activity. Seeing life flourish from your efforts. Anticipating the arrival of seedlings. Witnessing nature. Breathe in and out.

Mark Carney talks a lot about nation-building projects. A sovereign, public cloud could easily fit into that agenda.
