We're really enjoying the show too. It's a fantastic take on an old scifi premise. More TV shows like this please. It is neck and neck with Andor Season 2 for my fav of 2025.

What, I wonder, did they expect their allies to do in the face of instability? Are they so deluded that they assumed their allies would surrender to extortion? Or are they purposely creating division? Defense is too important to play games with.

I recall that attacking long buildings "end on" was a decent tactic as it can reduce the defender's fire options. I think I came across that in an ASL Annual years ago and it stuck in my head.
