Logged back in to say Sarah Marshall has been an absolute delight as a guest. Her subtle wit compliments Robert's own humor perfectly. She's so quick, knowledgeable, and funny. I would ask you to have her on more often but BTB makes guests depressed and I don't want her to be sad all the time.

As an ADHD person, “If it was so important, you’d remember it!” Has to be one of the most hurtful and infuriating things you could ever say to someone.

I hereby launch a campaign of socking someone in the nose if they say that.

Presented my latest story at my Writer's Group and it worked out well. Was beloved by the audience. I integrated the feedback I got from the last flop and it worked! So I'm proud of myself for this.

You still got it. Great work. Also you made me laugh way more than I thought I would given the content.

I spent almost 2 hours painstakingly copying the orbits of all 128 Saturnian moons from the announcement MPEC and reformatting them for visualization...

Behold, here are the orbits of ALL 128 MOONS OF SATURN. This isn't just a moon system—it's a literal asteroid belt around Saturn! 🧪🔭☄️

Worked really hard on some writing. I enjoyed making it but it landed poorly at the writers group. It was boring and barely anyone even finished it, so I'm murdering that darling and moving back to a project the group liked. Sucks but such is 2025.

I was not expecting to hear about spring-loaded sphincters today. That was a little laugh I needed. Thanks Gail. You're a great follow.

Listen, if the Russians didn't want me to greet them with a nuclear hello then why did they wait till so late in the game before engaging with me diplomatically? Personally this is their fault for taking my constant rejection of their ambassadors the wrong way.

I'm going corporate. I've fought it long enough. I want to be a manager. I want to be a suit that wins bread for my family. It'll mean extra hours, and extra miles, but I think I'll be fulfilled. It's time to make some money.

Just watched Austin Powers 2 right after watching the original and I am struggling to get over how bad Heather Graham is in this movie. Every other part of this movie is improved except the role of female love interest. Heather Graham just isn't as good as Elisabeth Hurley. It's not even close.

You are allowed to celebrate good things that are happening today: your birthday, a book coming out, new baby, new puppy, seeing your favorite piece of art in person, etc.

Joy is the knife that stabs into the heart of despair & apathy.

Feel your joys, big & small, & share them widely & loudly.

Welp. Time to look up some stoic training because hard times are ahead and I can do little to influence large scale changes in the world. If Stoicism can help both a slave and an emperor to be happy then it can help me too.
