People in medieval times wouldn't put up with the kind of crap ICE is pulling, it's ludicrous to expect folks to put it up with it today.

The GOP are advocating for a police state, federal agents with unlimited power to harass anyone, and if you don't acquiesce, it's okay to murder you.

Made some manicotti with garlic bread and salad. The filling was made with ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, salt, pepper, eggs, parsley and basil.

Boiled the pasta for 7 minutes, then used a pastry bag to pipe in the filling, covered with foil and cooked at 375ºF for 35mins + 10mins uncovered.

The NFL is running on borrowed time. Once the universities realize they can give players unlimited eligibility and pay them, there will be no reason for kids to bother with the suddenly second tier NFL.

The professional leagues adopted sports betting because ticket prices were too high and they weren't getting money from an entire class of workers. Sports betting allows the league to get money from the most impoverished.

I've been thinking that expanding the diagnosis of autism was having the effect of marginalizing people with severe autism. So I was glad to hear people discussing this issue on The Daily on NPR today. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/24/p...

I'm shaking almost too hard to type. I entered SLC airport and heard screams and cries for help. I could see people gathered around, watching. I sped over to discover this woman face down on the floor, four grown men pushing her down, while she cried "HELP ME" and pled for her child.

very cool that if you are working on behalf of right-wing culture warriors, you no longer need standing to have your claim adjudicated by the supreme court
It's not just that they're going to strike down a law against conversion therapy, it's that they're going to do it on behalf of made-up claims from a straw plaintiff who can't honestly show the law affected her at all
One thing about American's widespread distrust and disapproval of the Supreme Court is that mainstream news coverage mostly doesn't dwell on stuff like standing, so people don't even begin to grasp how rigged the Court truly is www.nytimes.com/live/2025/10...

- There are full-on police checkpoints most nights
- Gangs of 30+ federal agents roam DC
- National Guard folks w/ guns patrolling a Harris Teeter
- Every day, multiple friends see ICE kidnapping ppl
- Daycares are scared to have kids go on walks due to ICE
