Little Ghosts has already done so much to foster the local horror community in Toronto and support queer, indie, and emerging writers. I want to see what they do with this space. Let's make this happen!!
Hey friends, can I ask you all to give our @littleghostsbooks.bsky.social Crowdfundr a look? Any amount helps us with our workspace renovation plans, if you're not able (which I understand!), if you could share the link that would be amazing. Love you all! 🤗🧡 👻📚

The Organization Is Here to Support You by @charleneelsby.bsky.social is an incredible bureaucratic horror novel that reads like the love child of Kafka and the Tri-agency Guide on Financial Administration.

I absolutely loved this pitch-perfect, hilarious book.

Inspired by the short story "The Fathomeer" by @mr-thor.bsky.social from the book This World of Vile Wonder 💙

Didn't come out exactly as I had planned in my head, but there we go!

Readers keep on finding new and incredibly nice things to say about The Knave of Graves.

The full review from Quentin Lewis is well worth the read:

Channeling this guy in my work in progress (a 19th century horror romp).

Obed Hussey invented a machine called a reaper and was said to be “as whimsical as the weather.”

InhuMANities by @andrewawesome.bsky.social is one of the smuttiest and most unsettling books I’ve read in a long time. The stories are equally absurd, disgusting and brilliant as they plumb the various depths of (mostly) men’s depravity. Terrific body horror that will make you squirm.

Incredibly kind words from @sjshank.bsky.social about Pyres!
Thanks so much, man! 🙏🏼🔥

Pyres by @kevharrison.bsky.social was the last book I read in 2025 and it was a high note. Part thriller, part folk horror, the story inventively blends spirit channeling and pyrokinesis to shed light on the ugliness at the heart of today's immigration debates. Terrifically paced and very spooky.

The 2026 reading thread kicks off with a sci-fi banger from the prolific imagination of Coy Hall, The Owl Men of Shanidar. Do yourself a favor: drop everything and read all of Coy’s books. Time very well spent.

My reads of 2026 are off to a great start. Such a rich and detailed dark fantasy world, not like anything I've read before. And @sjshank.bsky.social created a compelling and amusing main character in Jeppo, a disreputable underdog with a more than a few tricks up his sleeve.
