Sam Darnold is one hell of a dude.

They would never make any actual noise but more than anything else I want one more run of KD, Harden, and Russ. It would never happen ofc, but the second half of Russ' year in Houston was a version of Russ that would have actually worked with those two.

Uhhhhhh

So the Wizards rebuild is probably over.

Anyway sit AD for the year and pray for a Trae/DLo/Dybantsa/AD lineup.

No, JKR is just a transphobic psychopath. That is most of it.

Younger generations “have fallen out of love with Harry Potter because they have fallen out of love with the worldview the series represents,” writes Louise Perry. “Which is to say that young people have fallen out of love with liberalism.”

Joseph Angotti, the man who taught me everything I know about journalism, got me a job with a newspaper in college, and handed me my own column because he thought I had good things to say has passed. Rather than post his obit, here is his Indiana Journalism HOF entry.

stop using AI to do your research. it hallucinates too often. if you want an answer to something, post something arrogant on the appropriate subreddit. something like: "this item performs 10% better than everything else. only idiots deny this." this will bait nerds into doing your research for you.

...so the BUG Scam gamers.

This reeks of 11th hour audible because of a chally result. I would keep an eye on that deck in particular not because it is especially good, but because it has the chance to REALLY grow in metagame relevance between now and MKE if anyone does well.
Here's the Standard metagame for the Magic Regional Championship at SCG CON Portland! 📜

some of my favorite VML deck names of all time.

one of the things i miss most about the vml is the decklist names. sometimes they weren't even names. they were just straight up confessions.

Here is another org that can desperately use your help. If a non-citizen get kidnapped by ICE here, regardless of status, they are flying them out of the state as soon as the can. Legal representation can be the difference between seeing your family again, or, given conditions in TX, life and death.

"Edgy" and "provocative" is how law office history gets made. This is not how actual history scholars--or scholars generally--operate.
I want to address my friend Ilan who says here that he has been subject to “a lot of hate” from academics who “should know better” and haven’t respected the “academic enterprise.”

I don’t dislike Ilan. I also think his paper is fundamentally wrong and not scholarly.

We start with a historical question. We read secondary materials. We go to the primary sources. We think. We build, we engage, perhaps we eventually dissent from consensus— but there’s a process. We don’t just gather our things and write. He straight up admits that he doesn’t have any methods.
