I quit the former Twitter two years ago this week, and I am here to tell you that my online life got a lot better for having left it. In two years I've not been tempted to go back, and I haven't felt any penalty in either career or community for not being there. It's nice to be here and not there.

Another reminder of Johnson’s inability to be taken seriously. The House Speaker asked for the bill to be amended in the Senate, and the minority party got a motion through to pass the bill unamended literal minutes afterwards 🤣

I still am genuinely thankful for the Twitter community I was able to find (many still there) and carve out for myself. Where YouTube failed me and when Reddit was starting to fail me with TROS hate invading even “good” Star Wars subreddits, I was able to find ST fans I could proudly be open around.

I mourn the loss of Star Wars Twitter once a month because there was some real community in that space and now we're so fragmented, like Jedi post-Order 66.
Friends I used to nerd out with daily that now I just hope are doing well wherever they are on the internet....

This is the real question: what does Congress do when Trump informs them that the files released are incomplete because of an “active investigation”?
A functional Congress could impeach, but that would require Republican defections in the House and grinds the business of the Senate to a halt
