For literally decades foreign auto companies have been making cars locally. Facts like that should be common knowledge among Americans. If they were, then we wouldn’t be in this fantastically idiotic time line.

I’d love it if someone who wants you to read something made it possible to read it without subscribing/paying etc.

Like, I’d like to have the info, but I have over 4k unread emails AFTER monthly purging…because everything requires a subscription and I’m tired.
Just tell us already.

Bought tickets to a show 6 months ago. Sold them earlier today - 4 hours before the show started - because I just…didn’t want to go anymore

Someday I wish my partner would stop approaching our individual musical inclination as a competition. I just spent 30 min trying to play the cello right-handed to convince him that, yes, if I’m to learn this instrument properly, I do in fact need a left-handed cello.

TIL my partner has an autograph from one of the 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team members just casually chilling in our china cabinet.

Apparently his dad just casually ran into him and another Bruins team member during his time on the Boston Bruins (Craig Janney, who’s autograph is next to it)

Can you even imagine the size of the adderall and ketamine piles on the desks of these two shitheads right now?

I understand why you’re referring to Gen X, but I fear this’ll actually affect millennials to a higher degree, as they ultimately look up to Gen X and were convinced they could achieve what their parents have - signed a millennial who was once duped into essential oils
as scott adams also announced he has prostate cancer, there’s going to be an entire generation of gen x that just dies younger due to trusting snake oil salesmen over real doctor practices endorsed by an entire political party designed to lie to them

Anyway, these types of posts are why I don’t frequent this site often. Not because they’re wrong (they’re right) or because I want to stay blissfully ignorant (not possible), but because this is all there is here, and I already know how bad it is without being yelled at about it constantly.
They blame pollution but cut the EPA and clean air and water regulations. They blame poor nutrition but cut SNAP and programs to bring local produce to schools. They blame increased screen time while destroying public infrastructure that connects people. All while they take millions off healthcare.
The White House blamed exposure to environmental toxins, poor nutrition and increased screen time for a decline in Americans’ life expectancy Thursday.

I have a million thoughts on ACA, & not all are positive. I work in healthcare, specifically revenue cycle mgmt, which is directly impacted by the real world application of the ACA - for providers, & patients. To sum it up: it’s a great idea, but was poorly executed. It desperately needs reformed
When the ACA passed, many House Dems voted for it knowing it would likely tank their chances of reelection. They did it because expanding health care to millions was worth it.

Last night, GOP “moderates” likely ended their careers to take that health care away. Imagine doing that. Monsters.
