You just described what folks in Marfa, Texas stated. Historically, folks along the border towns would work and spend money in the other country. At the end of the day, everyone would return home. There were no issues. It seems like the government, and not the people, make relationships worse.

This is my district, we're definitely pissed.
There are at least 3 competitive House races in Michigan and a Senate contest. Trump threatening to block the bridge connecting Detroit to Windsor is something Republicans will struggle to explain. One House race is in Macomb County: Big auto manufacturing presence!

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.
