I made it about 7 weeks off all social media except instagram, and it DID dramatically improve my mental health. But I’m back momentarily to say it’s only Wednesday after Trump was inaugurated and I don’t think I can handle 4 more years of hearing about what he’s doing. RIP 🇺🇸🗽

As an experiment, I’m deleting my social media apps (but not my accounts) off my phone and trying not to use them for the month of December, to see if it improves my mental health. Wishing everyone an early Merry Christmas! 🎄

I think the USA needs to rethink the way the heads of our most important national agencies are chosen because it’s clearly dangerous and stupid to just let the current president pick whoever they want based on nothing but a personal whim.

It was torture tonight, sitting uncomfortably in the room w/my grandmother-in-law as she told my husband with tears in her eyes how happy she is that he married me and turned his life around. Then thanked me for marrying him. I wanted to sink through the floor.

Not being aware of pain because a dissociative "part" of us is holding it isn't the same as not feeling it. Part of us ALWAYS feels it-- the question is, do we let that part hold that pain alone?
For my money, recovery means NOT abandoning or ignoring our suffering "parts."

I really hope that Trump gets mad at Elon and boots him to the curb pretty quickly, like almost immediately, because having him involved as shadow president is terrifying. Unlike Trump, Elon is super focused & relentless. I’d rather deal with a distractible inefficient evil than an effective one.

My dream is to relocate in a few years and go back up to the Pacific Northwest where I grew up. I’ve been worried because the places I love are dominated by deep red politics, but seeing several people on here who live in Idaho, Montana, or Alaska even and haven’t ceded the territory gives me hope.
