Pretty sure my clients are good people who are poor and targeted by the state because they’re vulnerable while the judges, prosecutors, and probation officers are sadists who need real psychiatric and therapeutic interventions for the benefit of society.

I was just in court for docket in small town Texas and people are extremely comfortable with warehousing warm bodies
One thing the responses to the killing make clear is that some people have an extraordinarily low bar, selectively applied, for when it’s justifiable to take a life.
It would be a mistake to see Trumpism as authoritarianism imposed on an unwilling nation, as opposed to authoritarianism implemented in a nation with a plurality that is already made up of authoritarian bootlickers who created the context for Trumpism to thrive.

Now I appreciate this woman’s reaction: “Learned what?” That’s right. Make them explain their veiled threats and see how they crumple as cowards. Cops are not lawyers. They pretend like they are all the time and love to bully people with their pretend knowledge of the law.
