As the Guardian maps out the “major players” at #COP30, it’s clear what’s missing: the people living the transition every day.

This should be yet another urgent wakeup call to all of us! There are solutions and we must advocate to all citizens and levels of government to do much more to address the climate crisis!

It doesn’t matter if you’re working class or a billionaire: climate change will hurt your grandchildren.

That’s why I cannot understand oil executives who sacrifice the planet’s health for their short-term profits

We must transform our energy system away from fossil fuels NOW.

The fossil fuel industry is banking on carbon capture and storage to stay alive and keep those profits rolling in as they create a climate bomb with ongoing expansion. Efforts to develop so-called "low-carbon" oil & gas is a distraction from the need to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels! Nature reported that 1,460 billion tonnes of CO2 can be safely stored underground, a fraction of industry's projections of 12,000 billion tonnes.
