Oh hey! New games are up for preorder at www.newmillindustries.com!

The Fluffy Rite is an oddball trick taker in which there are no ranks on the cards - you play two suited cards together to form teddy bears (illustrated by my 16 year old son) and you're aiming to win the second-most tricks.

The Dice Tower's silence on Sam Healy's fascist apologia is bad — hot take, I know — but it's also in line with this hobby's paradoxical insistence that games are simultaneously art and apolitical.

There is a lesson somewhere about the type of community you cultivate when you're silent on certain topics. Silence means you're willing to accept bad behavior and harmful rhetoric under the guise of being apolitical.

A reminder of the character of Sam Healey. This is who he is, he makes no apologies for it either. Stop giving him and the organizations that promote and platform him anything.

He will continue to do MAGA bullshit, its on you to stop giving him support and a platform.

Happy to release my first game of 2026: Fries 🍟
In this 3-4 player climbing-shedding game, your goal is to shed out first, or be the last player who still has cards. As you might expect of me, this is a standard deck game.

"Stellar Ventures is a game for vultures and rats" - Dan Thurot 😁
Cube rails fans might enjoy this one. Checkout the KS page :
www.kickstarter.com/projects/tab...
The forthcoming Stellar Ventures blends cube rails, 18xx, and just a dash of 4x spacefaring to create a dense and intriguing playground of stock acquisition, corporate sabotage, and alien contact. Despite some fiddle, this is precisely my sort of thing. My preview: spacebiff.com/2026/01/26/s...
Cube Shuttles
The forthcoming Stellar Ventures is nothing if not wildly ambitious. Its creator, Pontus Nilsson, has designed both cube rails and 18xx titles, and is now mashing those systems together — along wit…

If they can’t blame the victim, they move on to blaming the community, city, state. It’s a classic framing contest and they’re working within group to find a strategic frame that their audiences can use to place blame on the other side for atrocities their eyes (on the video evidence) can’t deny.
Over the last 48 hours, the talking point on the right has solidified; the only reason that we are seeing violent clashes against ICE is because of sanctuary policies and failure to cooperate from city officials who are fanning the flames.

Take a look; it's wild how quickly they're all adopting it.

I'm always worried that my statements might be too "political" and risk my work.

But then I see stuff like this and think about how many tech billionaires are cozy with this regime.

Then I realize, no, these they want our silence and our work to meet their ends. So we need to speak out.

I have the right to bear arms.
I have the right to a warrant.
I have the right to a trial.

ICE ignores all of this. They are unconstitutional and need to be abolished. They are out of control. Absolute maniacs facing little to no consequence.

So the House is going to vote TOMORROW on the DHS funding bill that includes funding for ICE.

There's a real chance we can get Dems to vote NO on any bill with ICE funding to sink it.

Once it goes to the Senate we likely lose this chance.

24 hours. Go.

We are calling for an immediate stop to all purchases from Upper Deck.

Their total lack of communication is distressing—so we call upon everyone to help us escalate.

No purchases from Upper Deck. No media coverage or posts of their games.

Upper Deck will only respond when it hurts their wallets.
YIKES.

Upper Deck (Marvel Legendary) just announced a CCG using the Harry Potter license.

Fans of UD are rallying against this decision. Like the CGE situation last year, I’m asking for your help.
