When I first got sick in 2004 Medicaid paid all of my medical expenses as I had just started a new job and didn't have insurance yet. Because of Medicaid I was able to go back to full time work in 6 months. They were wonderful. I wouldn't be here without the program.
Medicaid has helped my family in times of need.
I have stage 4 cancer and my son has cystic fibrosis.
Millions of Americans are covered under Medicaid, old, young, sick and disabled.
