UK banks oppose tax rise.

Falsely claim to be paying 46.4% tax rate.

The PwC generated number includes PAYE, employee national insurance which is paid by workers. VAT which is borne by customers.

it is extrapolated from a sample, can't be verified

Why do media reports not expose this sham claim?

IT’S NOT TOO LATE for the government to change course. Keir Starmer is being advised to urgently pause the Government's plans to cut disability & health benefits by Parliament's work & pensions committee who say they should not go ahead without a comprehensive impact assessment

Contact your MP, NOW
I’m joining @trusselluk.bsky.social in calling on the government to rethink its cruel, shameful & completely irresponsible plan to cut benefits which will plunge 250,000 people, including 50,000 children into poverty - on its own impact analysis

This is how you can help

This is why Ed Davey needs to resort to stunts to get any attention at all. The focus is constantly on the right of politics. Even Labour is focused on Tory/Reform & don't seem to care about the voters they are hemorrhaging to left parties. Yes, I think the Lib Dems are more left now than Labour.
Do the Liberal Democrats get their fair share of press coverage?

The Liberal Democrats are often said to get disproportionately low press coverage relative to their electoral support, but is this true and if so why?
