I hope Dems begin to see that moderate or progressive, AIPAC is not our friend.

They endorse January 6th insurrectionists. Yet if you so much as suggest the US uphold its own Leahy laws, no matter your record, they will work against you.

Reporter: Do any of you have a favorite animal?

Child: My favorite one is a gold snake that can move. It has gold eyes, and it has a super-duper tail…

Reporter: Mr. Mamdani, the second question for you.

Mamdani: Yes. It’s also the golden snake.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

“it is probably wiser to view the Lemon arrest as something broader. It’s not that he’s a journalist.

It’s that he’s been identified as an Enemy of Trump, and the president and his base have long been howling for those perceived enemies to be punished.”

I keep thinking of all the times I've covered protests and stepped off the sidewalk or run ahead of the march or gone somewhere "unapproved" to get a shot, and all the times I HAVEN'T been arrested.

The arrests of Lemon and Fort are meant to have a chilling effect on journalists.
The strongest "evidence" that Fox/DOJ can cite here is that Lemon entered the church shortly before the protesters did.

Of course, that's common when a journalist has a camera and knows something is about to happen.

It isn't a conspiracy to commit a crime, unless you see journalism as a crime.
Here’s the Fox News/DOJ account of the church incident that led to Lemon’s arrest.

You can see why the magistrate turned down prosecutors.

This is one of the things I talked about on CNN - the DOJ releasing then deleting this looks like either a mistake or a coverup. Either way, it's the Streisand Effect on speed.
DOJ has since killed this link. This is what was there:

The Trump administration accused Don Lemon of participating in a protest which interrupted a church service-though Lemon was covering the event as a reporter

Yet ICE routinely camps out at churches so they can arrest worshipers upon their exit-and this has interrupted services-with Trump's blessing

The unbridledly authentic Catherine O'Hara navigated the perfidious shoals of life with both the grace of a swan & the vivacity of magenta sequins sprinkled on a burlap sack. In all matters of the vortex of being, she was simply exquisite.

Oh, how she will be missed. 💔
