Colorful beads were very popular in the early #medieval period, particularly during the 6th and 7th century. This necklace was found in the grave of a woman in Donaueschingen-Neudingen. It consists of more than 50 beads made of amber and glass.

The commodification of human remains perpetuates a dark legacy of colonialism, exploitation and dehumanisation.

We need to see decisive action to end such practices and respectfully repatriate stolen remains to their rightful resting places.
