I said previously that most of what the horrible bill is doing will not come into effect until after midterm elections. Someone made an excellent set of graphics to make it clear when which parts will come into effect:

Yes. I'm pretty sure those buildings won't stand up to a rainstorm, let alone a hurricane. They _want_ those people to suffer and die. See all those literal cages? Yeah.
A concentration camp is not safe and affordable housing, nor is it health care for all.
It is a kennel, a cage; quickly-built, and shoddily, with not a comfort to be found. It went up quickly because no one is meant to live in it.
They are meant to suffer in it. REAL housing costs a bit more.

Yes. I'm pretty sure those buildings won't stand up to a rainstorm, let alone a hurricane. They _want_ those people to suffer and die. See all those literal cages? Yeah.
The bill passed.
The cuts won't happen until after the 2026 midterms. They hope we think the warnings were overly dramatic and elect them again (or they'll blame the next people if we don't).
Don't let them gaslight you. It is their fault, even if they set it up so they can pretend it isn't.

The Minnesota shooter apparently used data broker websites to find the home addresses of the people he shot and murdered.
Congress has had years to do something about data brokers and they've sided with the tech lobby over and over again.
Their inaction is deadly.

this isn't a both-sides comment but just a reminder that all of these levers of state power will exist in the next democratic administration and it is up to that president/congress to dismantle the ones that have been abused
