There is a reason that Scots all over the world celebrate Robbie Burns.

By oppression's woes and pains!
By our sons in servile chains!
We will drain our dearest veins,
But they shall be free!

Lay the proud usurpers low!
Tyrants fall in every foe!
Liberty's in every blow!—
Let us do or die!

I think a lesson here, too, is to actually fucking listen to overpoliced communities.

They live this experience long before it escalates to a point where the colour of your skin no longer protects you.

The marginalized always live the cracks in democracy before they rip wide open. Listen to them!!

Alexi Pretti was a loved and respected nurse helping critically ill veterans.
He was beaten and murdered on the streets of Minneapolis by paramilitaries in the employ of Donald Trump.

@mark-carney.bsky.social the United States has obviously proven itself to be an enemy of Canada. Personally, I don't think it's safe for our Olympic athletes to attend in 2028, and IMO, Canada should announce a boycott until a new, democratically elected government is in place in America.

Liberals betray their voters by governing like Conservatives.

Conservatives betray their voters by crossing the floor to be card-carrying Liberals.

When are we gonna learn, people? It's a two-headed dragon and we need to start slaying.

For anyone that is thinking about joining the CAF during this latest recruiting drive, remember one day you will be a veteran. This is how much the GoC cares for its military members once they are no longer useful to them.

This budget just keeps getting worse. Instead of paying veterans what they are owed Carney quietly tries to further victimise them

Government seeks to retroactively change law, potentially avoiding paying veterans over federal error | CBC News
The Carney government’s budget legislation contains an amendment that lawyers representing veterans say is a bid to cover up a decades-long error that led to overcharging for long-term care.

Can't stop thinking about the fact that the government is literally slashing public service jobs while bringing in AI for use in the public service.

They are literally doing, as a government, what we scream at tech bros for doing to their employees.

Pretty gross!

After 10 years of budget increases, crime 63% higher. Why would you continue to pay them more? Seems like the $ might be better spent elsewhere.
