The good news is that the constitution provides ways for Congress and the Judiciary to reign in a power-hungry president. The bad news is those people are all scared of him.

The head of our country’s government is in the early stages of consolidating total power. We must of course reject this, but that is not enough. We have to respond by creating a different and better kind of American politics than we have seen before.

Please pay attention to this case being argued in the 4th Circuit tomorrow. It could determine whether the GOP succeeds in stealing a NC Supreme Court seat by disenfranchising 60,000 voters.

Chaos is the cheapest ingredient in a revolution.

It takes zero effort to destroy things. To sabatoge, throw a temper tantrum, & burn it all down.

Chaos agents are weak & have too vapid of an ideology to build a functional system.

Revolutionaries who come only with chaos, come with nothing.

Rest is not a retreat from progress, it's the foundation that sustains it.

It takes enormous fortitude to be aware of the truth and not be destroyed by it.

So pay attention a little less (or focus on truths that are not demoralizing) to sustain the path forward.

Trump didn’t divide the country; he fractured families that once lived in harmony, where Republicans and Democrats could freely discuss the issues of the day. Those days are now a distant memory.

Why take the Resistance off of X?

Some people think that "resisting" means only "fighting." But actually "fighting" means only "fixating." And "resisting" means also "abstaining."

Let's practice abstaining from fixating over our political enemies. So that we can stay sane & move ourselves forward.

True. I found in 2022 when I was organizing marches that the more work I did, the less need I had to argue with others.

We don't have ultimate power, but we have a little bit of power. And when we exercise it - it alleviates a lot of our fears and tension.

It's a productive use of our anger.
Online arguments are a massive distraction from doing the work.

I’m starting to think that the longer we shield Trump voters from the worst economic outcomes, the worse things actually will get.

Sometimes people just have to find out the hard way, sad as that is. Yes, we will suffer. But at least they will learn that elections do have consequences.
