Last year, I called my mom when they flew over. We used to go down to the river and ponds a lot and go bird watching.
She was in the hospital at the time I called. It's been almost a year since she passed away.

Yesterday, I got lucky. As I walked down to the store, A small flock (probably the last one given the lateness) of Sandhill Cranes flew over.
I knew what they were because they give a very specific trill that's pretty recognizable.
