One out of 12 rams is uninterested in females. Deemed “non-procreative" by farmers, they're typically sent to slaughter. German farmer Michael Stücke rescues the gay rams. His company Rainbow Wool, sells fabulous wool products from his flock of gay sheep. rainbow-wool.com

I had fun reading to some Burke Elementary students at the Chicago Public Library today. When the Obama Presidential Center opens next year, we’ll have a new branch of the library for the community to enjoy.

I can’t begin to describe how meaningful this Honor is…and on this book, which I wrote at my daughter’s bedside over the course of 21 rounds of chemotherapy. STRONGER AT THE SEAMS is my debut YA novel, and I will forever be grateful to everyone who helped make this book—and this honor—happen. 💛🎗️💛

Okay writers...I know people make wishes on shooting stars, pennies, eyelashes, 11:11 (the time)...

What sorts of things have you seen or heard people wish on?

🚨BREAKING: Cal State LA just moved classes online and let faculty work remotely, not for a storm, not for COVID, but because ICE is in the area.

Let that sink in, an entire university is treating immigration enforcement like a public health crisis.

My daughter made Top 60 in Original Spoken Word Poetry, in a speech about a topic painfully close to her heart: childhood cancer.

C, I am so proud of you. Keep fighting, girl. Keep bringing awareness.

Be the change, baby. 🎗️
