If I were lumines I would not have a title that looks like it says arse, on a logo that looks like an arse, positioned over an arse

Thunder Helix - more work on CGA conversion. This time to finish up the last of the 2D user interface elements - the in-game map, objectives and options screens. #pixelart #gamedev #solodev #wip 🚁
If you have never picked up a pot plant early on, and then kept it to drop in your co-op buddy's inventory once you are deep in the body of The Many, can you truly say you played System Shock 2?
System Shock 2 (1999)
There used to be so many third party pads with "auto-fire" functions for the buttons too.

The most recent thing I've used like that is the Ho-ri grip controller for the Switch. I got em cos the joy-cons were a bit small for me. I used the auto-press to AFK farm shooting stars in Animal Crossing 😆
Yeah, I was there for all this.

I'm going to need to add abstract info on how bouncepad shader are supposed to be scripted for non-Quakeheads in the readme :)

Deluxe Poly - been working on some QoL things like drag-box multi-select of points for faster adjustments. Basically I just fire up the program, try and use it and whatever annoys me the most I work on 😅 #dogfood #gamedev #lowpoly #pixelart #wip #screenshotsaturday
I'm glad you are doing these so we know you're alive over there, I imagine the temptation to just keep quiet until you have a big content update to drop must be considerable.
NMS really should have been Early Access, but they couldn't do that because of the simultaneous PlayStation release and Sony's ad spend. I think a lot of those early reviews would have been far less brutal then, even though it didn't truly fulfil its ambitions until much later.
Yep, this. Not a vanilla feature at all. Didn't know Live had them (after my time) but it makes sense!
Pretty sure you are thinking of source ports here.
File format ramble. These are TGAs because Quake 3 only supported that (and JPEG because single-disk release.)

I think people mostly use PNG now though? What say you? I'm thinking I'll do a PNG folder, a TGA folder, and a pre-scrunged for PSX retro folder that's also PNG.

This little texture pack is getting there. It was quite small pack done for a 2002 Quake 3 add-on map. I've retouched almost everything to some extent, added many new variants, and put in some completely new stuff.

It has been mentioned, definitely on the list to try out.
We were getting so all the local drivers knew how to safely access our flats and popped stuff right at the door. Then I made the mistake of telling someone that and immediately got one of those guys that marks something delivered with a photo of their wrist and only turns up two days later.
That looks like it could be a winner, and seems like you can keep stuff offline. I'll have to give it a go.
Yup, all my design/ideas stuff is in OneNote, you don't need a huge GDD if it's just for your reference.

Also my meme screen grabs and funny post links have their own notebook. This is very important as it stops me reposting them in the place I got them from.
Don't want: Online storage, AI toss, collab features. Don't need a phone app.

I will buy software if it can do the job, but freemium/subscription only's a big no.

So many are inherently online. Others look like they might have been decent once but then became terrible (hence no interest in subs)
Is there a notes app that's basically OneNote but not Microsoft? Every so often I look but all have issues.

I want: Desktop software. Organise by page/section/subsection. Document-like UI. Pasted URLs do previews. Screencap direct to pages. Local/NAS save. Create separate notebooks.

I wonder if I started selling "days since starting a new project" chalkboards would count as starting a new project 🤔 #gamedev #indiedev #solodev
Now here's some good inspiration if you're looking to do any kind of retro labelling.

(Their shop also seems like a treasure trove if aesthetics in stationery is important to you.)
26 pages from a 1940 label sample catalogue. Type & shape inspiration!

That really is terrible luck, I've only had one dead stick til now and that was busted out of the box.
Spectrum 48K, that dangerous gateway drug to a life of ruinous creation 😆
