Started out meaning to make some taco meat for tacos but kept adding in things that sounded good and now it looks and smells amazing but I feel like adding the taco seasoning would make it weird so. I guess this will be some kind of...burrito in a corn tortilla?

I feel like there's a parallel between the type of person who thinks that having the physical medal is the important part of a Nobel prize, and people who think the output of GenAI is of value.

Overriding VSCode's initial refusal to do highlighting / collapses / etc. for a ~450MB JSON mostly out of morbid curiosity and actually it handles it with little issue. Not sure if more impressed by VSCode or my work MBP but either way that was genuinely surprising.

In terms of bang-for-buck, Nintendo is probably the biggest waste of money out of any media I use.
I love the idea of it, and the games, but in practice my computers and my kindle pretty much dominate in all looking-at-screens scenarios.

When a script is taking a long time and you’re like 80% sure it’s working right but you reeeeeally wish you’d put some sort of progress logging and you don’t want to halt and restart it. 😬

I hate when you go to auto shop websites to see how much a service costs and they just say "it varies".
Surely you can give a vague ballpark range or at least order of magnitude?
I'm not trying to pin you to the wall with an exact quote I just wanna know if it's more like $100, $1000, or $10000.

Been lowkey a liiiiiiittle unsure if I was reading the PTO policy correctly but just checked my balance after new year past and I was right, fuck yeah.
in truth I've only once had even just two days in a row of nobody needing anything from me.
I'm supposed to be getting an extra week of PTO starting next year. I think I need to just schedule some nice non-holiday time off and tell *no one* so nobody tries to pin me down with plans. :P

I imagine there's a lot of Weezer fans who had the same experience with Filter - Title Of A Record. I love that album, but the single that really took off, Take A Picture, is one of my least favorites on the album but I suspect might be up many of their alley.

Hash Pipe was a kinda weird but fun song. I figured they were like a new band or something. Turns out they were very well established and I'd never heard of them before because their usual was Very Much not my jam, and Hash Pipe was just this weird deviation that took off.

There is an old electronic song I get stuck in my head sometimes that I will probably never learn the name of. XM82 before XM merged with Sirius used to play a fair amount of obscure stuff, or mixes unique to the station so even if you find the song it doesn't *quite* sound right. I miss it still.
