We're SERRV. A fair trade, women-led nonprofit, we were started in 1949 as a way for displaced European refugees to trade their handcrafts (cuckoo clocks!) for income after WWII. Now, we work with artisans and farmers around the world by selling their beautiful handmade items and delicious foods. 🌏
It takes more than just our small nonprofit to make an impact. In fact, we wouldn't be here if not for the incredible dedication and support of #fairtrade stores around the country. So, to all our store partners—thank you! 🙏

September is #HispanicHeritageMonth! 🎉 Take time this month to celebrate the rich culture, contributions, and successes of Hispanic people in the United States and beyond. From civil rights activists to artists and composers, the Hispanic community is a massive contributor to our country.

June is #PrideMonth! 🏳️🌈 Our focus is on fighting poverty through fair trade and we believe the rights for and dignity of all people are both relevant to creating a better and fairer world. We believe it is important to stand up for people who are vulnerable, including the LGBTQ+ community.

Last year, SERRV helped fund a beekeeping class for artisan women in Israel and the West Bank to help provide them a secondary source of income when there aren't olives to harvest and press. They're able to protect the bees and provide for their families—a win-win!

What's the buzz today? 🐝 It's World Bee Day, and a great opportunity to celebrate these powerful pollinators! Without them, many of the plants we enjoy on our tables and in our gardens wouldn't exist. Here's to bees!
