I think there’s a lot of white men virtue signaling and I just want to say try to be a Global South Migrant in a party that won’t listen to you. I tried to make it a priority in their agenda and it just was not happening. “It’s not devolved” it’s not enough for me. (1/5)

Today at Full Council I supported @anthonycarroll.bsky.social's amendment to an SNP motion condemning disinformation about asylum seekers and refugees, and reiterating that Glasgow is a welcoming city for those seeking refuge.

Today the order banning #PalestineAction as "terrorists" came into effect. But they are not terrorists. They are protesters trying to stop a genocide. This is a "first they came for ..." situation. Unless we stand in solidarity against this assault on our freedom, they will pick us off one by one.

It was great to get out to support @qmanivannan.bsky.social yesterday. Q will make an excellent councillor, best of luck for the rest of the campaign! 💚
We had Greens & supporters from neighbourhoods in Fountainbridge, Craiglockhart, as well as from Glasgow, St Andrews, & Livingston today!

Canvassing on Watson Crescent meant wonderful interactions (despite the thunder & rain) on the future of our (very green) area!

Thanks to all who came 💚

Despite the lack of tv appearances we continue to connect with communities … what is it they’re afraid of? 🥴

Green politics should be about materially opposing fascism, not just saying "I told you so" when Farage becomes PM. It's incumbent on Greens to take the fight directly to Reform - we know that it's both Green ideas and Green votes at the ballot box next year that can defeat the far-right.

The UK is one of the wealthiest countries in history.

But that wealth is concentrated in the hands of a few, where it's used to buy yachts and private jets instead of building up public services.

A 1% wealth tax on net assets over £10 million could raise £10 billion a year.

Starmer's abhorrent speech about immigration does not reflect our reality of a city which has benefited massively from migration and which values the contribution of migrants to our communities.
Seconding, @seonadhoy.bsky.social highlights the real life impact of Labour's divisive immigration policy.

Four years ago we saw a community unite to peacefully protect their neighbours from detention.

This week we saw Prime Minister Keir Starmer mimicking Enoch Powell with speeches that vilify and scapegoat.

Scotland must be the party of Kenmure Street, not Downing Street.
