Today is Fairy Tale Friday for my 2nd Grader. We're reading the Billy Goats Gruff and as an activity the kids can finish the story themselves. I thought I'd extend the courtesy to all of you.
A comic adaptation of the three Billy goats gruff. The first panel has the troll talking. The second panel has the goat talking. The third panel is left intentionally blank for people to fill in themselves.

In the first panel, Heinze cooks at a stove while saying, “They say… revenge is a dish best served cold,” and Apollo, an orange cat, sits nearby; Heinze adds that losing (a game) is a dish with many variations, like curry. The next panels show exaggerated examples of losing: a werewolf looming behind Heinze to represent friendships lost over social deduction games; Heinze looking being eaten slowly by a monster symbolizing slow, inevitable losses in the Arkham games; and Heinze being shocked by a spell; representing the feeling in Magic where a player can never beat an opponent’s deck. In the final panel, Rachel asks whether victory isn’t an even sweeter dish, and Heinze replies that he has no expertise on that subject, while Apollo watches from the counter.

We're starting a tradition, every year we will commission a family portrait by a board game illustrator to utlize as a holiday card and to capture the memories of that year. This year we were lucky enough to partner with Giacomo Vichi, who did such a remarkable job!

I love that the PNG specification literally says how to pronounce it and nobody follows that.

Butchering file name pronounciations seems to be hard-coded in our DNA.

That was a fun watch! If you’ve been hoping to see a full game of 3 Witches, check this out. They got everything right in terms of the rules.
I need to clarify a bit on communication when an 👁️ is played. I’d say no passing in that case. It gives away info, defeating the purpose of the 👁️.

Been fooling around with #procreatedreams and wanted to animate something for one of my fav board games #ROOT quite a lot left to do but wanted to share some progress. Ive been doing rigged animation for about 10 years and im quite out of practice with traditional hand drawn, so its been fun to do!
