Retired from the NHS, now enjoy writing. Pookins Saves Santa and Pookins of Beauchamp Road are on Amazon. Spent the last year chasing lidos with some crazy ladies. A happy snapper who loves taking photos of nature. Interested in world events and politics.

@fidpod.bsky.social here's a thought... several Man U players have been told not to turn up to training. Why not invite them to train at Wrexham so the lads get a bit of Prem League experience. Rashford, Gnacho good players just not valued and need a place to train.

Why no mention of massive Pro Palestinian protest in London today? Come on journalists do your job, don't silence the news.

After all the fabulous documentaries made by the wonderful Sir David Attenborough I cannot understand why so few vote green in the UK. He has been telling us for decades to look after our planet but the heads of government all over the world aren't listening.

Can you look into a fairer system for booking driving tests. Getting up and logging in every Mon to find bots have taken all the slots is sole destroying. Perhaps putting in a theory test number would stop the bots. My son doesn't have £400 to pay a third party.

@wrexhamafc.co.uk I hear Kevin De Bruyne is free for next year. Perhaps the boys can use their charms on getting him for a season 😃

My mum's cousin was in the Berlin White Rose and got arrested when they found her printing press in her room. Unlike the Munich spur she wasn't executed but sent to a concentration camp. Ending up living the otherside of the wall. Mum and her reunited when it came down.

Im a Green voter now. Previously a lifelong Labour voter (Even held my nose for Blair).

I have long held disdain for the Lib Dems, especially after their various betrayals during abomination of Tory/Lib coalition.

But recently, Ed Davey has been saying all the right things.

I respect the man. 👏
The Prime Minister should show British leadership on Ukraine by inviting President Zelenskyy to address Parliament on Monday.

I'm proud that the UK has been Ukraine's staunchest ally from the start. We mustn't falter in the face of Trump's bullying now.

That would have short term symbolic impact-but a more structured revert from #Brexit is now a national security imperative for UK, aside from being sensible in its own right. The gov needs to fast track a mutually acceptable course in that direction with EU. Starmer can’t ’both sides’ it any longer.

New petition: Tax banks to recoup the £23bn they lost taxpayers in the banking crisis
To recoup the outstanding/lost £23bn from the financial/banking sector, following the bailout during the financial crisis. We think this should be recouped through emergency taxation on banks, and that this could be used to fill what has been described as £22bn black hole in public finances.
