The 2000s saw some incredible SciFy series. Battlestar Gallactic (remake), Lost in Space (remake) and The Expanse were incredible. But I also love the 1980-1990 series, particularly Babylon 5, Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis, Star Trek TNG, Star Trek DS9, and Lexx. I could rewatch these forever.

If you thought Mineral Cup Month would have been better if they just skipped the first two rounds and went straight to the quarter-finals you will probably enjoy its spin-off Ore Cup.
Same if you thought MinCup was great fun and you wish there was more.

An excellent interview with Margaret Atwood by Lisa Allardice in #TheGuardian. This quote from Atwood will stay with me for a long time:

‘It is the scariest of times’: Margaret Atwood on defying Trump, banned books – and her score-settling memoir
At 86, she’s a literary seer and saint – and queen of the Canadian resistance. So what does the writer make of our dystopian world?

I'm so happy to see that all seasons of the Great Canadian Baking Show are now available on Roku TV in the United States. It's a nice companion series to the original British version. Now I also want to watch the Aussie and Kiwi versions.

Such an addictive song. Nice to see the real artists performing it live
KPop Demon Hunters is a brilliant film, but it’s also lovely seeing its voice actors, songwriters, and singers become stars after years of struggling in the industry

It’s pretty bonkers this is not a real band, and EJAE (lead vocals) hadn’t performed in a decade until this

This is 100% accurate insight and states why American revolutionary scientific discoveries may be a thing of the past.
Sometimes I think about how from 1935-1975ish, Bell Labs produced an insane amount of revolutionary science and technology, including 11 Nobel Prizes, the transistor, UNIX, C, the laser, the solar cell, information theory, etc. The secret? Provide scientists with ample, steady, no-strings funding.
