I like Father’s Day because it forces me to evaluate myself as a person. I’m not perfect, but when I see my children living young adult lives as genuinely happy, productive, kind and selfless people it validates some success. They’ve made me a much better human being.

There is no way Trump’s US military parade was that pathetic by accident. Subordinate command did the bare minimum to comply with Hegseth’s parade orders. I’ve seen ROTC march in step better than that.

If someone were thinking about seizing full control of the government, moving large amounts of military equipment to the capital under the guise of a “parade” would certainly be one way to do it.
In preparation for next week’s parade/demonstration, tanks are being moved into Washington, DC today. Unprecedented.

Thinking about selling my electric guitars and amp to buy a good all solid wood acoustic for retirement. I rarely play amped and my musical taste has toned down quite a bit. The Tele will be hard to part with though.

Watching Mission Impossible Final Reckoning was like living through the 40 year Cold War in real time.
Lot’s of hype, not much action, and it went on way too long. Couldn’t wait for it to end.

Mission Impossible Final Reckoning was unwatchable. Turned to my son 45 mins in to ask if he knew what the hell was going on. He didn’t either. Submarine & biplane action scenes were each 30 mins too long. Last 30 mins was a run of the mill nuclear detonation beat the clock trope. Family hated it.
