Even if there was a Ukrainian strike on Putin's residence, Putin is fair game. He's the top commander of the Ruzzian military. The Ruzzians have tried multiple times to assassinate Zelenskyy and have the gall to expect us to clutch our pearls at a fictional drone strike. Typical Ruzzian gaslighting.

Isn't she facing impeachment for illegally redacting the #EpsreinFiles?
This is authoritarian rot in plain sight. A DOJ weaponized against “enemies” of a sitting president isn’t law enforcement — it’s vengeance. That’s how democracies die: not overnight, but when power decides dissent is a crime.

In this year’s #PlanetaryHealthCheck (www.pik-potsdam.de/en/news/late...), the #OceanAcidification boundary has been assessed as breached for the first time. What does this mean? Nice explanatory piece in “Dialogue Earth”, with input from PIK researcher Levke Caesar.

Explainer: The latest science on ocean acidification
In 2025, scientists warned the ‘planetary boundary’ for ocean acidification had been crossed. This is what that means and why it matters

I'd like to say this year was good. I finished my PhD, after all. But frankly, the fact that I survived it all and managed just that should be good enough.

I think my favorite part of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift getting together is that she didn’t have to Mastermind her way into a relationship with him. He saw her he called out her name and wanted her instead of her fighting for his attention and his love.

This is Brenda and Linda. They were brought into the shelter together, and Brenda had no interest in being separated from her friend. She jumped the kennel wall to get to Linda, and made sure everyone knew they're a package deal. The best news? It worked: They were adopted together. 14/10 for both

2. 2. I’ve mis-read the room here occasionally & said sorry. Most of us don’t set out to destroy or upset people when we get up in the morning. To save screenshots for ages to then chase people down is bullying surely? Mean at best. Today has been a horrible way to end the year here.

I feel like it’s too late to give a shit about microplastics, if they’ve been as prevalent for decades as we’re suddenly being told they have. Anyone of my age is already riddled with the fuckers and there’s not a lot we can do about it, retrospectively. Any lifestyle changes will be of minimal use.

As a parent, I am so mystified by when we decide to let our kids start going places unaccompanied.
We have to give them freedom.
The risks they may encounter are terrifying.
They have to learn, so do we.
The process of letting go is dreadful.
