I will get more details later today. David Crisafulli & Sam O'Connor have broken an election promise to the Queensland public service. A large number of staff from the Department of Housing & Public Works were sacked late last week. The media seem oblivious ATM. #qldpol

For those Liberal Party voters who still think the Libs are a moderate "centre right" party, under Dutton they've voted with Pauline Hanson's One Nation 93% of the time during this last parliament. There's minimal difference between the Libs & Nats AND One Nation. #auspol #AusVotes25 #PutTheLibsLast

Hi @support.bsky.team

This is a fantastic content creator & very well trusted source for Australian users. He contributes a great deal to BlueSky

His account was hacked many weeks ago (@strangerous.bsky.social)

So far he's still waiting to get any info from you

(please repost & tag Support)
So after letting me know weeks ago they’re investigating my hacked account @strangerous.bsky.social, BlueSky is still yet to let me know if they’ve actually done anything, I’m still being contacted about things hacker is doing with account. Should I give up? @support.bsky.team ? Anyone home?😔

If you don’t know, vote no!
If you don’t know…
Dutton has now confirmed he will NOT provide details of the 45,000 cut to the migration program he has promised until after the Election. He knows the legal obstacles to his cut are too great. This is almost 12 months after he first announced the cut. independentaustralia.net/politics/pol...

Dutton was running around yesterday, screeching that “ the Russians are coming, the Russians are coming! “ and howling about “ a catastrophic failure of Australian diplomacy.” It was total bullshit. Worse it was grossly irresponsible.

It's a good idea to not gut the public service.

History has shown us that when you cut public service jobs, you don’t save the nation a single cent. It costs the country more because work is then carried out by expensive contractors and consultants.

Cutting public service jobs undermines capability
Peter Dutton says he will cut the Australian Public Service by the same amount it has grown under the Albanese government – 41,000 employees.

Moving to federal elections on 4-yr year fixed terms would not only save our collective sanity from this mind-numbing speculation over when the next one will be - it would also save us $$ billions + potentially lead to better longer term governance + policy outcomes.

The $60 billion saving we could make if Australians voted less often
Scrapping the three-year election cycle could save Aussies tens of billions of dollars over the next 20 years, according to new research.

just three days after Australia’s cheque cleared, the Congressional Research Service quietly issued a paper saying while the nuclear-powered attack submarines (known as SSNs) intended for Australia might be built, the US could decide to never hand them over.

Surface tension: could the promised Aukus nuclear submarines simply never be handed over to Australia?

Shameful 🤬
It’s deeply distressing the Attorney General has approved extraditing Dan Duggan to the US. He has chosen to send this Australian father of 6 to a politicised prosecution and done so just before Christmas hoping everyone has switched off from the news. This is so wrong.

Labor really needs to get its shit together with it communication. It seems that the Australian public, at least those I speak to and comments on various social sites, are swallowing this bullshit hook line and sinker.
