Retired and I live in beautiful Maine.
Will not obey in advance.
Firmly believe that an American President is not a king and neither are his buddies.

Given the horrific comments made by Trump today, it’s time to repost this.
When I was having difficulties in my personal life, it was the Somali women with whom I worked who made sure I sat with them at lunchtime and tried to eat, and who would pack up food to give me on Fridays to bring home so that I would eat.

Our president would neither understand nor believe this

Europe may begin selling U.S. assets in response to a new conflict with the US—a move that could trigger a dollar collapse, Bloomberg reports. Deutsche Bank analysts warn Washington’s key vulnerability is living off global financing—and Europe may decide it no longer wants to bankroll the U.S.

We don’t know when ICE will surge their activities here in Maine. It could be tomorrow. It could be three weeks from now. Try not to be so anxious as to be lulled into inaction. Focus on stuff that can help right now and that will help prepare for anything that happens even if it’s weeks from now.

We are watching one of the wildest things a nation-state has ever done: A superpower is committing suicide because the GOP Congress is too cowardly to stand up to the Mad King.

This is one of the wildest moments in all of geopolitics ever.

Names aren’t even close. Ages aren’t even close. Appearances aren’t even close but to ICE it’s enough that Mr. Chongly Thao isn’t white.
NEW — DHS just posted this as an apparent explanation for why they arrested an elderly US citizen with no criminal record (it's a quote post of a post about ChongLy Thao's arrest.) The implication seems to be that all Asian men look the same, and it's not their fault they mistook one for another.

these are out of control thugs and every single thing they say is a lie

that they are lying should be the default presumption of the press, the courts, and the general public
BREAKING — ChongLy Scott Thao's family has released a statement disputing DHS's outrageous justification for his arrest.

"He does not live with, nor has he ever lived with, the individuals DHS claims were targets of this operation...[the family] does not know the individuals DHS references."

Now we begin the familiar ritual where 95% of the Republicans in Congress claim they are completely unaware of Trump’s deranged letter to the PM of Norway so they are unable to comment on it.

So in addition to just scooping up anyone they don’t like the looks of, even when they claim to want a specific they go to the wrong address, that person doesn’t live there anymore, or their paperwork is outdated. In this case the person they claim to be looking for had long since moved.

But not when it involves Somali people. Hmmmm

No amount of additional ‘training’ is required to teach that the treatment of this man is fundamentally cruel, immoral and wrong.

Abolish ICE.
ICE ended up returning the man, Saly, after realizing he’s a fucking US citizen with no criminal record, per his sister-in-law. These fucking animals.

Uh-oh if they come to Maine, how are they gonna be able to tell the difference between everyday normal speech and the dreaded assaults?
We can be a little rough around the edges here. And then when we really mean it, you will really know it.
