As Canadians, we like to think we’re strong and free. But, when it comes to the wealth gap, we’re looking more like America Lite—better manners, but almost all the inequality.

The surge in corporate profit rates that began during COVID has never ended - a greater share of corporate revenue is profits than ever before, and we are taxing those profits less than ever. No wonder CEO pay has hit another record high!

UBI isn’t charity as some claim . It’s restitution.
Since the 1970s, productivity has risen sharply while real wages stagnated. The gap became profits, executive pay, and shareholder returns.
UBI reallocates a portion of that extracted value back to the public that generated it.

America has 925 billionaires as of this year. Collectively they have a record $6.9 trillion in wealth.

The bottom 50% of Americans control $4.2 trillion in wealth.

When 925 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

America's richest 10% now hold 60% of the nation's wealth.

The bottom half of America? It holds just 6%.

Wealth inequality is eating this country alive.
