Quite likely my NEH grant (also terminated in April 2025) was one of these.

IDC update for #RAdminSky: NSF and now DOD have dismissed their appeals. NIH stubbornly refuses to rescind their NOT. Waiting also for DOE. All the agencies lost in court.

This is part of a pattern that is impeachable: Trump cuts previously appropriated Congressional funds, but only to states led by Democrats (California, Colorado, Illinois and Minnesota).
The Trump administration plans to rescind $600 million in public health funds from four states led by Democrats because it finds the grants “inconsistent with agency priorities,” according to documents reviewed by the NYT

🧵Important update on one of the court cases that could affect research grants. #RAdminsky
NEW: An appellate court has just overturned a lower court and ruled that Trump's executive orders cutting DEI programs and funding are constitutional — as long as the government only targets things that are already illegal under civil rights laws.

He oversaw preventable patient suffering and he knows that.

Also, "the commitment to **funding** cancer research is undiminished" is technically true about the budget, but he knows that NIH will be using MYF to force as much attrition among scientists, including cancer researchers, as it can.
BHATTACHARYA: I do not believe patients' care was disrupted. If there were disruptions, it's the responsibility of the researchers, not the NHS

HASSAN: That is an unacceptable and outrageous response. You can make an edict - 'Don't disrupt care!' - but that can be a very complicated thing

Note: Biery graduated from Texas Lutheran College and Southern Methodist University.

If he’s a mainliner (in keeping w/those schools), he’d likely use the NRSV translation, which reads “Let the children come to me, and do not stop them, for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs”
Judge Biery signed the order with a photo of Liam and two bible verses: The first is "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." The second is simply "Jesus wept."

Astonishing thing for a judge to do.

As a graduate of Texas A&M, I can say that the university is essentially giving up on its mission of higher ed. When you vet every single syllabi for 'ideological' content--not to mention terminate an excellent women & gender studies program--you might as well not pretend to stand for anything.
"Texas A&M University said on Friday that it would end its women’s and gender studies program, and that the syllabuses for hundreds of courses had been altered under new policies limiting how race and gender ideology may be discussed in classrooms" (gift article)
