What many don't realize is that the annual average daily temperature for Lafayette, Louisiana (69F) falls right between that of Los Angeles (66F) and Bermuda (72F).
Some might say we have the optimal Goldilocks temperature.
I think the city should market that more.

Great piece on what makes Lafayette, LA such a great place to live, work, and play!
A vibrant small city filled with great culture and community; plus a top-notch R1 university! @ullafayette.bsky.social louisiana.edu/news/lafayet...

Lafayette is at a crossroads. The University sits at the hub of it all.
Prologue: Skip back to the turn of the 20th century when Lafayette as we know it was in its infancy. Back then, “downtown” meant dusty roads, a few streetlights and a railroad station.

From mud to museum, massive mastodon molar makes mark
We all know someone who pockets interesting rocks and places them in random spots around the house. Honestly, it’s a good habit – taking time to connect with nature, even in your own backyard.
