We are a small unit, ~100 students and 9 full-time faculty, with a large research impact. Our Environmental Science program has a long history in soil science since its inception, and we are looking to replace expertise of a soil science faculty that retired this year.

This is a great position for someone who is passionate about hands-on learning experiences in the field or lab, and dedicated to teaching and training graduate students in interdisciplinary science.

As new faculty, you’ll:

🔬 Build an innovative, externally funded research program

📚 Teach and mentor students in Environmental Sciences

🌿 Develop hands-on learning experiences in the field and lab

🤝 Collaborate across disciplines in our Earth & Energy Sciences PhD program

One new scholarship for this year targets undergraduate or graduate students with interests in subsurface geology.

In addition to the scholarship funds, you also receive practical, hands-on learning experience through an internship for course credit during the semester!
