This is an *outstanding* blog post. Full of great information about visualizations. Definitely one I'll be going back to over and over (and over) again.
Big new blogpost!

My guide to data visualization, which includes a very long table of contents, tons of charts, and more.

--> Why data visualization matters and how to make charts more effective, clear, transparent, and sometimes, beautiful.

Sum: Nah.

Gut #microbiome tests are everywhere. Should you get one? medicalxpress.com/news/2025-11... #GutHealth

- Little evidence to support use
- Often associated with sale of unproven supplements
- And even if worked, probably wouldn't change approach (healthy diet, exercise, sleep)!
Gut microbiome tests are everywhere. Should you get one?
At-home gut microbiome tests are trending, selling insights to the curious, empowerment to the chronically ill and a claimed path to longevity to the wellness-conscious.

Important to remember
Discordance between identical twins *could be* caused by some (still unknown) environmental factor, but doesn't have to be. Development itself is inherently variable (with variation in outcomes that is not due to any external cause)

Yup!
30% of students with SEND have speech, language and communication needs. It's the most common need.
It doesn't get anything like the profile that it should. After all these years of working in this sector that still flummoxes me.
Data from the Department for Education shows that 30% of children with SEND have speech and language challenges.
