Have had a somewhat trying weekend taking care of this boy by myself, but he’s just so pretty. I can’t stay grumpy with him for long.

Trying hard to relax and switch my brain off. So snoozy times with this boy, and watching old Australian Survivor Seasons.

I am missing the human element of the line judges at Wimbledon, but do find it amusing when a point is already over, and the ball goes out and you still hear this really confident shout of “out!”.

In light of my decision to post more, here’s a photo of my beautiful rescue dog.

I think this is an excellent point. I tend not to post about politics because other people say it better, and sometimes it feels a bit pointless adding to the noise and outrage. But then posting silly or cute things feels trite and unfeeling. But I personally enjoy a mix, so I’ll bear that in mind.
i don't mean to come off as rude but we cannot sustain ourselves on outrage and anger forever. i think it's even more important now to post about other things too. even if it gets less engagement. you never know who will find it cool and interesting.
It’s a real mindfuck when most ppl wanna post about their latest failures/successes, or weird shit they saw in the wild or cool stuff they made…but the country is a cesspool so cool/weird shit seems trite.

Another lovely and inspiring Brighton Ruby! Interesting talks as always. I also enjoyed the minimalist lanyard approach. Very quick and environmentally friendly! #BrightonRuby

The latest Who Do You Think You Are? with Diane Morgan is simultaneously one of the most moving episodes, AND the most hilarious. Love that the editors just let her run with things. It made me cry laughing, and then just cry.

One of the best recipes I’ve ever found. So simple, so tasty! This will revolutionise your salads.
Moonblush Tomatoes are #RecipeOfTheDay! An excellent investment in your everyday eating life, and you just pop these in a hot oven, turn it off immediately, and let them cook till intense and flavoursome in the residual heat. www.nigella.com/recipes/moon...

You may have come across Sunblush Tomatoes in delis; these are my homespun version. I halve cherry tomatoes, sprinkle them with herbs, a little salt and a pinch of sugar and drizzle over oil, put in a...

My husband has taught human reproduction and development to the Cambridge medics for over three decades. When people start banging on about "only two biological sexes" he starts with "which sex: genetic, hormonal, or gonadal"?

This Recipe Tin Eats cashew chicken recipe came out so much better than I dared hope! I swapped around most of the ingredients but left the sauce as specified. So tasty!

Very happy with how this turned out! Crème fraiche mixed with mustard, followed by a layer of thin courgette. Topped with tomato and asparagus! No pre-cook required.

Love this tulip. So different to any I’ve seen before. Reminds me of the Piranha Plant from Super Mario!

I am irrationally upset at the news of WH Smith being taken over and renamed, considering I set foot in one about once a year. But they are consistent and reliable. “TGJones feels like a worthy successor to the WH Smith brand,” a spokesperson said. “Jones carries the same sense of family”. WTAF?!

After being blown away but hard it by Adolescence, watching School Swap: UK to USA was a beautiful reminder of the good, goofiness, vulnerability, joyfulness, and sense of humour (alongside the cruelty) of teenagers. Highly recommend both. But also - I'm so glad that I'm not one any more!

My Bluesky experience so far, summarised in a graph. It doesn't include the crushing realisation that the heading is wrong and should read "Bluesky" not "Blue Sky".
