The people who respond to the No Kings protests by arguing that the United States doesn’t have a king, are the same people who respond to the Black Lives Matter with “ all lives matter.”

Our able men and women in uniform swear an Oath to support the Constitution—they didn’t sign up to spend the weekend in a military parade to feed the insatiable narcissism of an incorrigible insurrectionist/dictator.

Libby said the wait would be 12 weeks, but the ebook was available now in the Boundless app.

“Boundless is a digital service for libraries, providing mobile access to ebooks, audiobooks, videos, & video books”

Available in Texas, Illinois, and California now, and hopefully in other states soon.

America has never been subject to this level of authoritarianism, and quite frankly, sheer incompetence.

Out of the ashes, this moment should radicalize us to embark on an era of new reform — of our economy, our democracy, and our commitment to social justice and the law.

“Let me ask you one question
Is your money that good?
Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could?
I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul”

As part of my intention to divest myself of Amazon products, I’m deleting my Goodreads and my Kindle apps.

I’ve revived my StoryGraph account for tracking books.

I’m using Libby to read my library books and Apple Books to read purchased books

Divesting myself of Amazon products:
Storygraph instead of Goodreads
Libby or Apple Books instead of Kindle
The Movie Database instead of IMDb

I’m sure there are more I’m not yet aware of, but it’s a start.

There is no credible excuse for the ten Democrats who voted to censure Congressman Al Green. None.

It is a cowardly capitulation to asymmetrical warfare from the GOP out of fear, at best, and incompetent political opportunism at worst.

And I will not forget those who tossed him aside. Ever.

If I were a Democratic (or Republican, or independent member of Congress), I would not attend Trump’s speech tonight.

But disrupting seems foolish.

Just don’t go. Let Democratic “leadership” attend, since for some reason they’ve decided they have to. But let leadership be there alone.
