We at Hikari Bullet Train Sushi in Japantown yesterday.
It was fun placing our order on the tablet and having our food delivered by the bullet trains. There’s also a robot that delivers drinks and food.
The sushi was delicious.

I was hesitant to post this because I think it will have a lot of cilantro and raisin haters but it was really good.
Bulgar, carrots, raisins, and cilantro with a yogurt, orange, and cumin dressing.

Not as uniform as I’d like, but they still taste great. King Arthur Golden Raisin Biscuit Cookies. I use some bourbon soaked raisins in addition to the plain raisins.

I used the same Bittman No-knead recipe but switched to Bob’s Red Mill Bread Flour.
Sorry King Arthur, I may have a new favorite. My best yet, albeit a bit lopsided.

I made tuna salad to go on the freshly baked bread. I added corn, borrowing from the Matthew McConaughey recipe I tried.

I wanted to use the no-knead dough but bake it into a regular loaf instead of a round. Part of what made the bread tasty was baking it into the covered Dutch oven. I decided to try creating a lid for my stoneware loaf pan and it work! We are happy to have sandwich bread.

Second loaf, better than the first. NYTimes/Mark Bittman No-Knead recipe again.
easy but involves a lot of waiting. I mixed the dough at 3pm yesterday and let it rise until 8 this morning. Folded it & let it sit 15 mins before forming a boule. 2 hrs later, put it in my heated Le Creuset it bake.

Not sure what to call them. Maybe Spanakopita Samosas.
Trader Joe’s Scallion Pancakes for the wrappers. Spinach, onions, mozzarella, and feta for the filling. Seasoned with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and garlic powder.
Egg wash and sesame seeds on the outside. Yum.
