Same in the UK, probably getting worse with the disappearance of ‘intellectual’ Tories & Reform’s glorification of pig ignorance. I never know how to articulate this without making the problem worse! (As demonstrated above.)

An extra 60,000 HGV drivers needed by UK...
Some of us warning here years ago of this too..Brexit (reducing EU cabotage & driver accompanied haulage) fucks UK even more while alleviating issue across EU. Will mean lower UK standards to meet demand of driver unaccompanied haulage to/from EU

Spot on ...
at some point we're gonna have to have a real conversation about why we're still paying federal taxes to a regime that isn't using them to help anyone, but instead is using them to brutalize us

Starmer’s speech came closer to the truth about Brexit than ever before. But the gap between truth and action is still the whole story.

Thank god for that !! At last. Now you have identified the problem ... with a huge majority .... lets do something about it and fast. Customs Union would be my first objective.
👏🏽"We must all now confront the reality that the Brexit deal significantly hurt our economy. We have to keep reducing frictions. We have to keep moving towards a closer relationship with the EU. And we have to be grown up about it. To accept that it will require trade-offs."👏🏽

Boris Johnson promised to govern as an amiable and cynical clown. He positioned himself as a clown, the country elected a clown and then we were governed by a clown, as demanded.

Starmer presented himself as a serious man for serious times. What did we get? More clown.

Brexit detonated our economy and our politics. Since then, our country seems to have lost its mind, veering off to the right, reawakening the racism genie, ruining itself to try to hide the dishonesty and snowballing damage of it all.
And now Farage could be PM ffs.

This isn't about "freedom" or "sovereignty". It's about the barbarians tearing down the defences that have been keeping the barbarians at bay.
