Holy smokes. You can’t just have a roster and say go play soccer. The development of players is indicative of coaching…what are we doing here??
The award is coach of the year, not best team results of the year. They won the shield for their troubles, but I’m not entirely convinced that KC’s dominance was due to coaching rather than roster.
Ultimately, Bev and Vlatko ended their championship run the same way - a quarterfinal exit.

This is insanity.
We have a coach and team that cleared the next closest squad by 21pts in the regular season, conceded only 13 goals (!!!) (0.5GA per game), had the highest PPG in a season at 2.50, and a win percentage over 80%.
These are all superb records for any top tier league in any sport.

I need to get off social media for the next 1-2 weeks, but I’m just gonna post this to get my thoughts out. Other coaches have been afforded time to tactically adjust when they have key injuries. They were fortunate to have months to make these changes not 1-2 weeks.

I agree with this and as the league continues to expand, the bye week makes sense now. I used to be against the but they are playing more games now. 🤷🏻♀️

A lot will be said and written about this team. Some from myself too. The Current were far and away the better team in the NWSL. Maybe not today. But that's the playoffs. Can't show up and get bounced. Despite the absences, they didn't quite look like themselves throughout today. Credit to Gotham.
