"[W]hat’s the value of learning another language when AI can handle...casual conversation and city navigation? The answer... lies not in fleeting encounters but in cultivating enduring capacities: curiosity, empathy, deeper understanding of others" #edtech #ILoveEdTech #ImFutureReady #AIEdu
What AI earbuds can’t replace: The value of learning another language
AI-fueled technologies make communicating in other languages easier than ever, but it still can’t replace the transformative value of learning a new language.

Advent of Code - Did you get a Day 1 Star?
- file reading in the AP CSA style (for better or worse).
- records to capture the rotation as a String and a number!
- void main() and IO class
- Please don't judge how I dealt with the negative numbers :)

The Advent of Code only has 12 challenges this year, and there's no leaderboard. I'm happy with that - it starts to become a bit of a drain on your time about half-way through the month! #TeamCompSci

Functions in programming and functions in Maths this week! If you teach both, why not combine the two, e.g. if f(x) = x² and g(x) = x + 1, then you could code both as functions to reinforce the programming concepts and demonstrate the difference between f(g(2)) and g(f(2)). #TeamCompSci

The two-parameter substring method often confuses Java learners. #TeamCompSci #CSEd #APCSA
Students often struggle to determine the result of calling the two parameter substring method. This video might help!

This is a thoughtful response to the @nytimes.com article advocating calling on US education systems to make computer science and artificial intelligence mandatory components of K12 schooling (original article here: www.nytimes.com/2025/06/30/t...) #TeamCompSci
