As an archaeologist, I wish I'd known there was a philosophical literature on the ontology of holes.

So much wasn't done before demolition of the White House East Wing began. Next week the Senate is holding a hearing on the main process, Section 106, that protects heritage across the country. I think we should expect they're not looking to strengthen it.

You have to wonder who has a vested interest in paying for AI-generated articles on random websites smearing academic critics of Colossal and what they call "de-extinction"...

Groundwater, again, sigh. Spiders in creepy buildings, fun. Plus, there were spiders in the groundwater. All in a day’s work. #Section110

This book was born of anger, frustration, love, sadness, and sisterhood. But mostly anger.

Five years later, I have a whole new battery of things to be angry about. But I also have an amazing book written with some phenomenal people who show us there is a better way.

Yes!!! 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
With pending construction near historic buildings, I adjusted the syllabus. Students did shovel tests. They found some pottery shards, broken ceramic plates, coal & old gravel used in the old pathways. They loved talking to the Dean, campus chaplain and campus archivists about it. #campushistory

Philosophical dilemma: due to a misdelivery, I have a book I didn’t order- a super problematic 1950s nonfiction about the Salem witch trials. Do I recycle? (feels like banning) Do I donate to a free library and know I’m adding to misinformation? What to do with outdated books?

I want out of this 1970s Bond movie. Can I transfer to the Marvel universe? Or, better yet, the Stargate universe?

My 10-yr-old has declared he’s adding a “no kisses” rule to the Declaration of Independence.* He still makes more sense than Buddy Carter and his “red white and blueland” bill in Congress.

*I have repeatedly explained what he really wants is a Constitutional amendment, but good luck with that.
