The case brought by federal employee unions and nonprofit organizations asserts that OPM’s directive to fire probationary employees at the National Science Foundation and other agencies was illegal.

Perfect way to spend the last three days, looking at cool rocks in the sun! Next week, it’s on to a GIS view of this landscape and more recent mountain building events.
Climbing up steep and narrow gullies turns out to be a lot more challenging with a block of fresh titanium in your shoulder and your arm in a sling… Regardless, it’s been a blast watching things click into place for this group while co-teaching with (and learning from) @sarahschanz.bsky.social!

Hello! Moving platforms, so a little reintroduction of myself:

I’m a geomorphologist generally studying rivers and sediment in mountainous areas. I’m an assistant prof at Colorado College, a dog mom, and newly a human mom. I like hiking, gardening, and knitting in my spare time.
